Everything runs on-device. Your photos never leave your iPhone. Clean processes all photo and video analysis locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or transmit your personal photos or videos to our servers or any third-party services.

Information We Collect

Clean is designed with privacy as a core principle:

• Photo Library Analysis: Clean scans your photo library locally to identify duplicate photos, burst shots, large videos, screen recordings, and screenshots. This analysis happens entirely on your device.
• Storage Insights: We calculate storage statistics locally, including photo vs. video breakdowns and cleaning stats.
• Optional Account Information: Sign-in is optional. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we only receive basic account information necessary for authentication.
• Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymous usage statistics to improve app performance and features.

What Clean Finds and How

Clean's Smart Scan identifies:

• Duplicate Photos - near-identical copies and re-downloads
• Burst Photos - extra shots from Camera burst mode
• Large Videos - clips that take the most space
• Screen Recordings - heavy recordings in your library
• Screenshots - quick captures and old screenshots (30+ days)

All identification and analysis occur locally on your iPhone without transmitting data externally.

Private Vault

Photos and videos moved to the Private Vault are stored securely on your device. They remain on your iPhone and are not uploaded to any external servers. The Private Vault is protected by your device's security features.

Clean Free vs Clean Pro

Whether you use Clean Free or subscribe to Clean Pro, your privacy remains the same. Subscription status is managed through your Apple ID, and we only receive confirmation of your subscription status, not payment information.

Data Storage and Security

Since Clean operates entirely on-device:

• Your photos and videos never leave your iPhone
• No personal media is stored on our servers
• Deletion decisions are made by you and executed locally
• Storage insights and statistics remain on your device

Third-Party Services

Clean may use minimal third-party services for:

• Anonymous analytics to improve app functionality
• Crash reporting to fix technical issues
• Optional authentication (Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In)

These services have their own privacy policies and receive no access to your photos or videos.

Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:
